Job Summary

As a Personal Support Worker at Ekklesia Care, you will provide compassionate personal care and support to clients in their homes or care facilities. Your role is vital in helping individuals recover from illness, manage chronic conditions, or age with dignity and independence. You will assist with daily living activities and adapt care based on evolving client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care (bathing, toileting, skin care, meal preparation, feeding, etc.)
Assess and respond to changes in client needs and conditions
Share available resources and supports with clients as appropriate
Carry out assigned care tasks under the direction of a Home Support Supervisor
Travel within the assigned region to visit clients at home or in care facilities

Qualifications

Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from an accredited program or equivalent qualifications
Valid G2/G Ontario driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Physically capable of meeting job demands (e.g., lifting, assisting with mobility)
Proven track record of delivering excellent care and customer service
Current First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
Up-to-date immunization record, including a TB test within the past 6 months
Strong verbal and written communication in English; additional languages are an asset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a care team

Compensation & Training

Competitive pay starting at $20.00–$24.50/hour
