Job Summary

As a Home Support Worker with Ekklesia Care, you will provide essential support to clients in their homes by assisting with personal care and daily living activities. This role helps clients maintain independence and comfort at home while providing valuable respite to family caregivers. Duties also include meal preparation, light housekeeping, and offering companionship.

Key Responsibilities

Provide basic personal care
Assist clients with daily living activities (groceries, errands)
Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, garbage removal, etc.)
Offer companionship and caregiver respite
Monitor and remain attentive to clients’ medical needs and special requirements
Travel within the assigned region to provide in-home support

Qualifications

Supportive Care Worker Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, or completion of Term 1 of a PSW program
Ability to participate in mandatory training sessions
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and recent TB test
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Compassionate, respectful, and professional demeanor

Competitive wages starting at $19– $21.00/hour
